HEAD SONOGRAPHER

At North Shore Health Hub, our Head Sonographer, Matthew Bell performs our ultrasounds. He trained in the UK at North Bristol NHS Trust Vascular Laboratory in 2006 before becoming the Vascular Laboratory Manager in 2008. He arrived in Australia in 2011 and now has over 15 years of experience working in both public and private healthcare settings.

Matt is available for vascular ultrasound scans at the Health Hub, Monday to Friday.

SONOGRAPHER

At the Northern Beaches Hospital, Kathie Lynn performs the ultrasound scans. After completing her degree in Biomedical Science, Kathie commenced training in Vascular Ultrasound at St Vincent’s Clinic Vascular Lab in 1997, and since that time has worked in various vascular labs and radiology practices throughout Sydney.

Kathie provides the vascular ultrasound scans at Northern Beaches Hospital Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

SONOGRAPHER

At Northern Beaches Hospital, Lee Brown is the dedicated ultrasound specialist, bringing over two decades of experience to the team. Lee began her journey in general ultrasound in 1999, refining her skills across various locations in southern Sydney over five years. She then commenced training in vascular ultrasound in 2005 at St Vincent’s Clinic Vascular Laboratory and then worked at Northern Beaches Va scular from 2018. Lee has been working at Harbour Vascular Laboratory since 2024.

Lee provides the vascular ultrasound scans at Northern Beaches Hospital on Wednesdays.

SONOGRAPHER

With a background in Exercise Physiology, Lucy began her career in Vascular Sonography in 2017 and completed a Graduate Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Imaging. She underwent her vascular training at Western Sydney Vascular in 2019 and has worked alongside a range of vascular surgeons across Sydney, providing high-quality, patient-focused care. Lucy is passionate about ensuring each patient feels heard, supported and comfortable throughout their appointment with a strong focus on creating a transparent and as stress-free experience as possible. Outside of work, Lucy enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and she loves being creative in her spare time!
