Dr Matthew Doane is a Dual Boarded Anaesthesiologist. He focuses his career on a combination of medical education, research, and clinical care across a variety of disciplines. His priority is to ensure the best outcome for each of his patients, working to collaboratively support the dozens of practitioners who will care for you throughout the perioperative journey.

Dr Priya Virdi
Dr Virdi, a UK and Australia-trained specialist anaesthetist, excels in Cardiac, Vascular, and Trauma anaesthesia. Following medical school in the UK, she pursued Intensive Care training at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, concurrently serving as a Conjoint Lecturer in Clinical Medicine. She honed her skills further at Liverpool Hospital, NSW, specializing in cardiothoracic anaesthesia, medical perfusion, transoesophageal echocardiography, and complex cardiac and thoracic surgery, including ECMO treatment and heart and lung transplants. Advanced fellowship training, including at Royal Papworth Hospital, preceded her role as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Royal Papworth Hospital in 2021, until she relocated to Sydney with her family in 2022, joining Harbour Vascular.

Dr Matt Prowse
Dr Prowse is a specialist anaesthetist practicing in public and private hospitals across Sydney’s North Shore. His hospital appointments include Northern Beaches, North Shore Private, The Mater, Sydney Adventist & Hornsby hospitals.
Dr Prowse completed Anaesthetic Specialist training through Royal North Shore hospital. During this time he trained across a wide range of sub-specialties. He has a special interest in vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, obstetrics & gynaecology, urology and trauma surgery. He is also involved in medical education and training and is an instructor on the Effective Management of Anaesthetic Crises (EMAC) simulation course for trainee and consultant anaesthetists.

Dr Jo Barrett
Johanna Barrett is a consultant anaesthetist with interests in vascular, head and neck, ENT and major abdominal surgery. After attaining a postgraduate medical degree at the University of Sydney, she undertook anaesthetic training at St Vincent’s Hospital and completed her fellowship at St George Hospital, Kogarah. She now works principally at St Vincent’s Hospital and Northern Beaches Hospital in Sydney.
Johanna applies postgraduate qualifications in health research to integrate patient-centred care with evidence-based anaesthesia to keep you safe and comfortable in your perioperative journey.

Dr Jane Li
MBChB, FANZCA, PGCert PH, PGCertCU
Having worked as a doctor for 20 years, Dr Jane Li is an experienced specialist anaesthetist. She provides anaesthesia to a wide range of surgical subspecialties including vascular, neuro, spinal, ENT, obstetrics, gynaecology, orthopaedics, urology, plastics, ophthalmology and cardiological procedures. With experience in paediatric ICU and paediatric retrieval, she also anaesthetises children who are over 12 months old. Her professional interests include airway teaching, regional anaesthesia and peri-operative transthoracic echocardiogram. Dr Jane Li is the conjoint senior lecturer at Medical School of Newcastle University and founder of International Airway Management Society.
